Introducing The Deeper Path: A Different Way to Go Deeper in Therapy

Sometimes, you know you’re ready for something to change.

You’ve spent time reflecting, learning coping skills, understanding your patterns, and maybe even talking about the same things in therapy for months or years. You’ve made progress—but there are still pieces that feel stuck.

Maybe you understand why you feel the way you do, but you’re not sure how to actually feel differently.

Maybe you’re tired of constantly holding everything together.

Maybe you’re ready to slow down, step out of your everyday routine, and give yourself the time and space to focus on something that has been asking for your attention.

That is where The Deeper Path comes in.

What Is The Deeper Path?

The Deeper Path is a private, intensive therapy experience created for people who are ready to move beyond simply talking about what’s happening and begin exploring what is underneath it.

It is an extension of my work as a therapist at Creative Path To Healing, designed to offer something that traditional weekly therapy sometimes cannot: more time, more space, and more intentional focus.

Rather than trying to fit meaningful work into a 50-minute session, an intensive allows us to slow down and spend several hours intentionally working with the patterns, experiences, emotions, and parts of yourself that may have been difficult to access in a traditional therapy setting.

The Deeper Path incorporates approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic-informed therapy, mindfulness, and art therapy to create an experience that is both therapeutic and deeply personalized.

This isn't about cramming months of therapy into one day. It is about creating the space to slow down enough to go deeper. The art isn't about making something beautiful. It's about making space for something to emerge. [Learn more about The Deeper Path →]

Why Create An Intensive Therapy Experience?

Traditional weekly therapy can be incredibly valuable. It provides consistency, support, and a place to process what is happening in your life over time.

But sometimes you need something different.

Life can move quickly. Between work, relationships, responsibilities, and everything else competing for your attention, it can be difficult to pause long enough to really listen to what is happening inside of you.

And sometimes, the things you want to work through simply need more time.

An intensive creates an opportunity to temporarily step outside of your normal routine and give yourself permission to focus.

There is time to settle in.

Time to explore.

Time to notice what comes up.

Time to process.

Time to create.

And time to integrate what you have discovered.

What Are The Goals of The Deeper Path?

The goal isn't to "fix" you. You don't need fixing.

Instead, The Deeper Path is designed to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and create meaningful movement around the things that may be keeping you stuck.

Depending on your goals, our work may focus on:

  • Understanding patterns that continue to repeat

  • Processing past experiences and trauma

  • Working with anxiety, perfectionism, or people-pleasing

  • Exploring the roots of feeling "not good enough"

  • Working with difficult emotions or internal conflict

  • Understanding protective parts of yourself

  • Becoming more connected to your body and emotional experiences

  • Processing experiences that feel difficult to put into words

  • Developing greater self-compassion

  • Creating new ways of responding rather than automatically reacting

  • Building a stronger sense of self-trust

  • Identifying what you need in order to move forward

The intention isn't necessarily to leave with everything figured out.

Instead, I want you to leave with more clarity, more connection to yourself, and a clearer sense of what comes next.

Therapy Doesn't Always Have to Look Like Talking

One of the things that makes The Deeper Path different is the integration of creative and experiential approaches. As an art therapist, I believe that not everything we experience can—or needs to—be put into words. Sometimes a feeling shows up as an image. Sometimes our body notices something before our mind has words for it. Sometimes creating something allows us to approach an experience from a completely different direction. That's why creative work may become part of your intensive experience. Through art-making and experiential exercises, we can explore aspects of your experience that may feel difficult to explain verbally. There is no need to consider yourself "artistic," and there is no focus on creating something perfect.

The Intention Behind The Deeper Path

At the heart of The Deeper Path is the belief that meaningful change doesn't always come from doing more.

Sometimes it comes from slowing down. From listening to the parts of yourself you've been overriding. From becoming curious about the patterns you've been trying to change. From giving yourself permission to feel what you've been too busy, overwhelmed, or disconnected to feel. And from approaching yourself with compassion rather than another demand to "do better."

My hope is that The Deeper Path gives you a space to do exactly that.

A space where you don't have to perform.

A space where you don't have to have the right words.

A space where you can be curious about yourself rather than critical of yourself.

A space to pause, process, and reconnect.

What Happens After The Intensive?

The intensive itself is only one part of the process. Integration is an important part of the work. After spending extended time exploring and processing, we create space to reflect on what you experienced, what shifted, what you noticed, and how you want to carry that work back into your everyday life. Because insight is important—but what you do with that insight afterward matters, too.

The intention is not to create a powerful experience and then send you back into your regular routine without support. Instead, we make space for the work to settle and for you to begin integrating it into your life.

Is The Deeper Path Right For You?

The Deeper Path may be a good fit if you've been thinking:

"I know there is more underneath this."

"I understand my patterns, but I can't seem to change them."

"I want to work through something I've been carrying for a long time."

"I need more time and space than a typical therapy session allows."

"I'm tired of feeling like I have to hold everything together."

"I want to understand myself on a deeper level."

"I want to feel more connected to myself—not just understand myself intellectually."

You don't have to know exactly what you need to work on before reaching out. Part of the process is discovering that together.

A Different Kind of Space for Healing

The Deeper Path isn't about doing therapy "harder." It's about doing therapy differently. It's about creating enough space to slow down, become curious, and listen to what has been waiting underneath the surface.

My hope is that this experience allows you to walk away not with a checklist of things you need to fix, but with a deeper understanding of yourself and a greater sense of where you want to go next.

You don't have to have it all figured out before you begin.

Sometimes, you just need a place to pause. And that's what The Deeper Path is here to offer.
