Therapy for the Overthinkers, Over-Givers, and Over-Preparers
Not sure if what you’re feeling is “bad enough” for therapy? Spoiler: it doesn’t have to be. Ongoing therapy is for the woman who’s coping on the outside and running on fumes on the inside, and for the one who just feels a little off and can’t say why. You don’t have to have it all figured out. That's what I’m here to explore with you.
Creative Path to Healing may be a good fit if you…
Feel overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted, even when things look fine from the outside
Say yes when you mean no, and feel guilty setting boundaries
Go deeper than what feels possible in traditional 50-minute sessions
Overthink, worry, or feel stuck in the same patterns
Are navigating a major life change or transition
Know something feels off but can’t quite name it
What Working Together Actually Looks Like
We usually meet weekly at first, then weekly or biweekly as things settle, either in person at my cozy Dublin office or virtually anywhere in Pennsylvania.
Sessions start gently. You arrive, get comfortable, and we do a brief check-in on the time since we last met. That might lead naturally into what you want to focus on, or we might pick up a thread we’ve been exploring together. You’re always part of deciding where we go, and if you’re not sure what to talk about, that’s completely okay. We’ll start with what you’re noticing right now and see where it leads.
Along the way, sessions might include:
Building your coping toolbox: practical tools you can use between sessions
Art directives: a creative outlet and a new way to explore what’s underneath (no art skills needed)
Body awareness: noticing what your body has been holding for years
Getting to know your parts: being curious about the different parts of you that show up to protect you and carry old wounds
Before we wrap up, we set an intention for how to carry our work into your week, and when you come back, we follow up on how it went. That way, the deeper work doesn’t stay in the therapy room. It becomes something you can use in everyday life.

Your Space to Slow Down
The Deeper Path is a space that feels less like walking into a therapist’s office and more like settling into a cozy living room where you can finally exhale. Take your shoes off, grab a blanket, curl up with a pillow or fidget, and make yourself comfortable. The space is filled with thrifted finds, plants, books, handmade art, creative materials, and little reminders of inspiration, with soft lighting, favorite scents, snacks, and a giant window that lets the light in. Every detail is intentional. Created to help your mind and body feel a little more at ease while you do the deeper work.
Your Questions Answered
-
An EMDR intensive is a dedicated block of therapeutic time designed to create more space for focused EMDR processing than is typically possible in a weekly therapy session. Rather than working within a 50-minute window, an intensive allows us to slow down, follow what emerges, and give your healing process the time and attention it deserves.
Your experience includes thoughtful preparation beforehand and space for integration afterward, so you're not simply showing up for a longer therapy session—you're creating intentional space for the work you're ready to do.
-
An EMDR intensive provides a longer, more concentrated period of therapeutic work than traditional weekly therapy. Rather than limiting the work to a 50-minute session each week, an intensive creates dedicated time for preparation, resourcing, EMDR processing, reflection, breaks, and integration.
An intensive isn't necessarily a replacement for ongoing therapy. For some clients, it may be used as a focused experience within a larger therapeutic journey; for others, it may provide a starting point for continued work.
-
The best way to determine whether an intensive is a good fit is through our complimentary consultation. We'll talk about what you're hoping to work on, where you are in your therapeutic journey, and what kind of support would be most helpful.
An intensive may be a good fit when you feel ready to dedicate intentional time to your healing while still having enough stability and support to care for yourself before and after the experience. If an intensive doesn't feel like the right fit right now, that's okay—the consultation is a space to explore that together.
-
Yes. You don't necessarily need previous experience with EMDR to participate in an intensive. We'll spend time preparing you for the process, including building resources and making sure you understand what to expect.
If you're new to EMDR, we'll move at a pace that allows you to become familiar with the process and your own responses rather than expecting you to jump immediately into deep processing. Ultimately, we'll determine together whether beginning EMDR through an intensive is appropriate for you.
-
Your Deeper Path experience includes more than the time spent together during your intensive. Each experience includes dedicated preparation, your Intensive Day, integration and follow-up support, and a personalized workbook to support you throughout the process.
The intention is to create a contained, supportive experience before, during, and after your intensive—not simply a longer therapy appointment.

Right now, Deeper Path intensives are offered on weekends, with availability on Saturday and/or Sunday depending on the package you choose.

Half-Day Intensive
10:00 AM–1 PM, with additional time for breaksFull-Day Intensive
10:00 AM–3 PM, with additional breaks and time for lunchThe exact structure and pacing will depend on your individual needs and the intensive experience you choose. The goal is to create enough space for meaningful therapeutic work without making the day feel rushed or overwhelming.
